Job Description

Company: WBWR

Location: Somerset West

Job Type: Full-time

Experience: 2+ years in QA for mobile and web applications

At WBWR, we’re looking for a meticulous Web & Mobile Quality Assurance Tester to join our growing team. Your superpower? Spotting inconsistencies between designs and builds, finding bugs, and making sure that every release looks and feels just right—on both web and mobile.

If you're passionate about user experience, design accuracy, and software quality—and you love the thrill of finding and documenting issues before users do—then we want to meet you.

Who We Are

We’re a digital experience agency based in Somerset West, building high-performing websites, mobile apps, and Shopify-powered e-commerce solutions for large and very cool brands. We work out of the WorkWiser co-working space in a flat-structured, tight-knit team where passion, collaboration, fun, and client success are everything.

Our team blends tech lovers, creatives, strategists, and marketers—all driven to build great things and make a real impact.

Role Overview

You’ll be the last line of defence between design and delivery, owning the quality assurance process across multiple projects. From Figma file to final build, you’ll test across mobile and web platforms, spot bugs, confirm designs are built to spec, and work closely with developers, designers and project managers to ensure an exceptional user experience.

Who We're Looking For

A detail-obsessed QA tester with a background in software or digital testing. You’re not just ticking checkboxes—you deeply care about user flow, visual precision, and interactive consistency across devices. You understand that QA isn’t an afterthought; it’s a critical piece of delivering world-class digital experiences.

Skills Required

  • 2+ years of QA experience in a digital agency, tech company, or product team
  • Strong understanding of mobile and web UI/UX patterns
  • Experience comparing Figma designs to final builds
  • Familiarity with responsive testing tools and device simulators (BrowserStack, DevTools, etc.)
  • Comfortable writing detailed bug reports and collaborating in tools like Jira, Trello, or Monday.com
  • Strong written communication and a keen eye for both design and function
  • Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS/JavaScript is a bonus
  • Experience with cross-browser and cross-device testing
  • Familiarity with QA workflows in agile or sprint-based teams

Key Responsibilities

  • Compare web and mobile builds against Figma designs pixel by pixel
  • Test new features and app flows before releases across devices and screen sizes
  • Document and report bugs clearly, with all needed reproduction steps and screenshots
  • Verify that the design functionality matches the expected user behaviour
  • Run regression testing on updated builds and deployments
  • Collaborate closely with devs, designers, and project managers
  • Proactively flag usability issues and inconsistencies
  • Maintain checklists and test cases where needed
  • Continuously look for ways to improve the QA process

What’s in it for You?

  • An experienced-based salary
  • A vibrant office with top-tier coffee and plenty of banter
  • A collaborative work environment full of passionate tech enthusiasts
  • A MacBook and any additional gear you need
  • Access to Udemy for continuous learning and skill-building
  • Be part of a passionate, supportive team that cares about quality as much as you do

A small QA assessment may be sent after the initial interview. We care about both your skill and your personality.
